Inventor’s Corner provides a showcase for solar innovation, displaying a wide range of research and development projects in fields such as aerospace, aviation and navigation. The projects on display are testimony to both the versatility of solar energy and the ingenuity of their inventors.
One of the highlights of the 2008 edition was the solar aviation section, with its models of Bertrand Piccard’s solar-powered airplane, the famous Solar Impulse, and of Lisa Airplanes’ light aircraft. Schneider presented the Princess Elisabeth Antarctica station, and the Planète Mars association showed off its solar applications for the aerospace industry. In addition, an impressive solar tower attracted everyone’s curiosity..
The 2009 edition will provide an opportunity to find out how these projects have progressed and to discover new and equally fascinating ideas
