Inventor's Corner, which will be held at the University of Savoie, will be dedicated to the best inventions of recent years.
Different applications and uses of solar energy will be shown in the form of research and design projects in cutting-edge fields such as aerospace and navigation.
In partnership with "Bourget's Musée de l'air et de l'espace", the ways in which astronauts use solar energy will be brought to life through mock-ups and videos. In addition, models of Bertrand Piccard's famous Solar Impulse and the solar-powered aircraft produced by Lisa Airplanes will be presented to the public by their designers or their partners.
Finally, for the first time in France, a model of Sun 21, the first solar-powered boat to cross the Atlantic, will be presented to the public, together with a film showing the highlights of this historic crossing. One of Sun 21's skippers will be present at Solar Event to relate this extraordinary adventure.
