The radio-controlled solar-vehicle race is designed to promote renewable energies.
A short circuit consisting of a 20m x 10m loop will be the scene of a fierce competition between miniature solar-powered vehicles piloted by their young drivers.
This competition will be open to all comers but places will be reserved for schools, technical high schools and engineering schools. Under the guidance of their project leaders, these teams will be able to complete a scientific experiment based around a relatively simple project. It also provides schools with an opportunity to undertake a collective project leading to a concrete goal and the satisfaction of a job well done.
The race will consist of several legs, held over two days, with the vehicles being divided into different classes. A professional jury will award prizes in categories as varied as performance, technical innovation, vehicle aesthetics and the dynamism of the team. A “special” prize will also be attributed by the public.
