Homepage > Solar-housing village
Solar Event has set aside an area especially for the building and building-integrated solar energy industry - the solar-housing village.
This village will be composed of modules that can be adapted for use in collective and individual housing, in which manufacturers will be able to demonstrate state-of-the-art techniques in all areas of energy management from energy production to energy use. Particular emphasis will be given to insulation and to integrating solar panels into buildings.
Objective: show the diversity and richness of existing technologies and the energy and financial savings they can provide users.
The village will also contain architectural models, including one of the National Solar Energy Institute's (INES) flagship building, designed by an international architecture competition and soon to be built at Le Bourget du Lac.
Finally, the village will stage an exhibition which illustrate 20 years of development in bio-climatic buildings through the work of successive winners of the “Habitat solaire, habitat d'aujourd'hui” (Solar housing, today's housing) competition, which is held every two years by Observ'ER and Systèmes Solaires magazine.
